Cambridge Open Studios
Over four weekends in July, artists all over the Cambridge area are showcasing their work. A wide variety of art will be shown, from painting and drawing to sculptures and mixed media works. Check their guide or website to see which artists take your interest and go and take a look!

Babylon Gallery Summer Open 2016
A year after its debut, the Summer Open Exhibition in Ely is back from 9th July to the 21st August. This year’s theme at the Babylon Gallery is ‘Ely Cathedral: Ship of the Fens’ and they have selected work from over 40 artist in a range of media and genres, amateur and professional.

Movies in the Meadows
Over the bank holiday weekend in August, an outdoor cinema will be set up in Granchester Meadows with a huge variety of films on show, from Top Gun to The Jungle Book. Tickets are £12.50, available at www.cambridgefilmfestival.org.uk
Cambridge Folk Festival
From the 28th to 31st July, the Cambridge Folk Festival promises great live music with the likes of Christy Moore, Baaba Maal and KT Tunstall headlining. Saturday tickets have already sold out, to buy tickets for other days go to their website:

Cambridge Summer Music Festival
In July, the Cambridge Summer Music Festival will have live performances of classical music in some beautiful locations in Cambridge and surrounding villages.

From July through to the end of August, Summer at the Museums offers families and children to discover museums and collections in Cambridge and the county.

Cambridge Shakespeare Festival
The well-known festival is back again this summer and is a culturally enriching (and enjoyable!) way to spend a summer evening. Bring a picnic, admire the beautiful surroundings and enjoy the brilliant acting. This years plays include Macbeth, Coriolanus, The Tempest and A Midsummer’s Nights Dream.
