Scotland’s Endura shows complete cycling wardrobe including high-end tech and fresh colour at Eurobike
Product News – Sneek Peak at Endura 2015 Kit
PRESS RELEASE
In more than 20 years of making cycle clothing and accessories, Endura has come a long way from a local player in bonny Scotland to a global brand. Originally focussing on robust, no-fuss MTB gear; Endura’s huge range now offers kit to suit every rider, male or female, grown-up or kid, amateur or pro, for MTB, road, commuting and urban cycling alike – cycle clothing, accessories, eyewear, helmets, and luggage.
As WorldTour team clothier for Movistar Team, Endura has become a recognised global contender in technical road cycling apparel.
Highlights of the SS 2015 collection include technical, high-performance road cycling pieces featuring trickle down technology developed for the Movistar Team, colourful Enduro-style MTB outfits in fresh, strong designs, new jackets in the Urban Range, a fab Kids’ collection, and a significant strengthening of the Women’s collection.
Endura admit to being purveyors of many plain dark coloured but supremely functional pieces. To address this, and in response to feedback from riders, Endura dealers and from the sales force, Endura are now introducing their LIMITED colour program. All the styles in the LIMITED colour program are only available in small numbers, for one season only, via pre-orders only – Get them whilst they are hot!
ROAD
Endura’s involvement with WorldTour cycling team and Giro d’Italia winner Movistar means that the company invests a lot of time and effort in researching and developing the latest clothing technology, which includes amongst other things extensive windtunnel testing in cooperation with Drag2Zero as well as climate chamber testing. All of the team’s clothing (which is a lot!) is produced in Endura’s head quarter in Scotland, with full control of development, design and production of the kit and using state-of-the-art machinery and equipment.
The results of all this work and experience do not only show in the team’s outfit but are also clearly visible in Endura’s road cycling offer, be it the premium Equipe collection or the power performance FS260-Pro range, so that every cyclist can benefit from the pros’ experience and feedback.
Pro Style All Weather Protection: Equipe Classics™
Jacket Developed in conjunction with the Movistar Team, the new Equipe Classics™ Jacket is designed to meet the severe demands of the spring classics without compromising race performance, and brings pro level clothing to the masses. A short sleeve jacket with separate self-fabric arm warmers for versatile pro style protection, this jacket adapts to all brutal fast riding conditions. Zip it up to the top of the collar and pull up the arm warmers when on top of the Stelvio so that you can pin it on the descent, wear it during the early stage of a race, at the Giro while climbing through snow, at the Etape Caledonia in the Scottish Highlands, and on any training ride where changing weather threatens.
Made from high stretch, lightweight, waterproof, windproof and highly breathable fabric, the Classics™ Jacket is cut in an athletic non-flap race fit. It features Thermal Roubaix underarm panels for added comfort, a high visibility extra long drop tail, triple rear pockets with laser cut drain holes, a full length asymmetric zip with strung puller and zip guard, and a cosy touch inner collar. In addition to the technical details this jacket-plus-armwarmers combo simply looks the part with its clean lines and tonal black-grey Equipe sublimation print.
Super Lightweight Summer performance: FS260-Pro SL Jersey
Another item using features developed for the Spanish Movistar Team is the new FS260-Pro SL Jersey which delivers super lightweight performance for hot summer conditions. This slick, fully sublimation printed race jersey is made to the same specification as the Movistar Team issue piece, however its aesthetic has been adapted to match perfectly with the FS260-Pro SL Bibshorts system, the latter providing an unbeatable body match by offering three pad width options and two leg lengths.
Made from extra fine, super light, rapid wicking mesh fabrics, the FS260-Pro SL Jersey will keep you cool on even the hottest climbs. Lightweight underarm mesh panels and the ¾ length concealed front zip provide increased ventilation. Climate chamber testing proved the jersey to be 15% better at keeping a rider cool on a simulated alpine climb at 30oC than a reference jersey, and at a mere 85g (size medium) it is less than half the weight.
The jersey comes in an athletic cut for non-flap race fit and features a minimalist, low weight triple rear pocket construction. Lightweight silicone internal cuff grippers hold the Lycra® sleeves in place, while an internal hem elastic with silicone grip prevents the jersey from riding up.
MTB
As the company name suggests, Endura’s roots are in durable MTB kit for every terrain and all conditions, producing Enduro style clothing long before the recent trend for this type of riding. MTB pros Tracy Moseley, Chris Smith, Oli Beckingsale and Superior Brentjens Team as well as a large proportion of the company’s employees are constantly putting their MTB clothing through the grinder, feeding back to the product development team what works and what could be improved. With the 7 Staines Trail Centres and Fort William close by, Endura is right at the pulse of the MTB scene.
Graphic Enduro Style – New MT500 and Singletrack Tops and Legwear
For 2015, Endura adds new graphic Enduro style jerseys in strong designs to the collection and fresh colour to existing best sellers. The MT500 Print L/S Jersey is going to be a real winner in its ace full sublimation print design. This is an easy to wear, no-fuss long sleeve jersey in a loose fit that goes over body armour. It features a rapid wicking, fast drying, lightweight multi fabric construction and a shaped 2-piece neckline.
It comes in a bright, sunny yellow with black details, and in black with yellow details and goes together perfectly with the new yellow-black MT500 Spray Baggy Short, the new MT500 Burner Ratchet Short, and all other MT500 legwear. For those who prefer short sleeved jerseys, Endura has designed the new lightweight Singletrack Print Ts in striking Ultramarine/ Red and Anthracite/ Kelly Green – they look sharp, wick incredibly well, dry fast, and fit over armour. And of course they tie in perfectly with the new colours of Endura’s Singletrack and Singletrack Lite legwear and accessories!
URBAN & COMMUTE
Endura’s Urban collection provides comfortable cycling clothing that performs like bike wear but that does not look like it, combining functionality with subtle, contemporary, office-compatible chic.
Reversible Insulation On and Off the Bike: Urban FlipJak™ Reversible Jacket
New for 2015 is the Urban FlipJakTM Reversible Jacket, perfect on or off the bike in a great looking outdoor/ street style with a very clever “Jekyll and Hyde” feature. With this reversible, lightweight & insulating jacket you’ve got an in your face hi-vis colourway and a subtle black one in one garment. Be visible and stay safe in traffic wearing the hi-vis colour on the outside – and then simply reverse the jacket to the understated black side to walk around town or into the office! The versatile jacket features a lightweight, windproof and showerproof shell with a Primaloft™ insulation inner and is equipped with highly reflective print details, embroidered logos, and zipped handwarmer and chest pockets.

THE KIDS COLLECTIONS
Endura has introduced the Luminite Kids’ Jacket to keep children visible and therefore safe on their bikes. The demand for these has been so strong that Endura now launches a children’s cycle clothing collection.
The aim here is to provide real performance clothing for small champions that does not fall short of the adults’ versions. The kids’ range will include jerseys, baggy shorts, gloves, Lycra® shorts, and jackets, all of which will be available in three sizes (7-8yrs, 9-10yrs, 11-12yrs). Made from rapid wicking and fast drying Airtex fabric, the sublimation printed Kids’ Hummvee Ray Jersey is a fully equipped cycling jersey with triple rear pockets, short centre front zipper, and lightweight silicone hem gripper.
The Kids’ Hummvee Short is made from soft touch fabric with a durable seat panel. It features a drop liner with a kids’ specific seat pad, a comfortable elastic waistband with belt loops, and hand pockets. The Kids’ Hummvee Glove is made up from a high stretch printed backhand and a lightweight, hard wearing palm. Silicone finger and palm prints, colour matched to the back hand, ensure good grip. Details include terry sweat wipe on thumb and pull on elasticated cuffs.
The Kids’ Xtract Gel Short is a real junior roadie and XC essential. Ultra-fast wicking 280g Xtract fabric delivers fast-drying performance, while the multi density, high wicking antibacterial Kids’ specific gel pad and the seam free inside leg ensure best comfort. All seams are flatlocked for toughness and comfort. Hypoallergenic silicone leg grippers keep the shorts in place.
THE WOMEN’S COLLECTIONS
Endura shows commitment to kitting out hard-core female riders by increasing both the Wms road cycling performance range and the Wms MTB range. New pieces in the road sector include the Wms FS260-Pro Jetstream S/S Jersey for lightweight wind protection, the FS260-Pro Bibknickers with drop seat for easy comfort breaks, and the Wms FS260-Pro Adrenaline Race Cape for race day weather protection.
On the MTB side of things, the new Wms MT500 Spray Baggy Pants will become a trail favourite, combining traditional trail shorts with a waterproof seat. The new, stylish Wms Singletrack Print Ts and Jerseys in red, teal, purple, or ultramarine add some additional colour to the range and look flattering in their feminineshaped loose fit while providing great wicking and strong performance. Combine them with the Wms Singletrack Lite Shorts – new colourway for 2015 is a vivid red for these.
There’s lots more to see – come to Endura’s booth at Eurobike (B5-504) to explore the full SS2015 collection!
