HENDERSON — Executive chef Mimmo Ferraro of Ferraro's Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar will be appearing at Whole Foods Henderson to teach customers how to cook gluten-free, healthy food from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday. He plans to make insalata Mimmo (heirloom tomatoes, avocados, fresh mozzarella, red onion, basil, balsamic vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper); gluten-free pasta pomodoro (tomatoes, garlic, basil, extra virgin olive oil and grated Parmigiano-Reggiano) and Prosecco-poached pears with grapes (D'Anjou pears, red seedless grapes, cinnamon sticks, honey with granulated sugar).
