Duck Duck Goose, braised black cod and Masaharu’s very first teppan grills make the menu

Masaharu Morimoto unleashed his very first restaurant in Las Vegas, and now guests are getting their first tastes of the Iron Chef America star’s sushi and Japanese fare at his restaurant at the MGM Grand.

Morimoto’s dishes blend Eastern and Western flavors, and guests can choose to dine at the sushi bar, main dining room or teppan tables. That means Morimoto debuted his only iron griddle menu in the world.

The teppan menu features A-5 Japanese Wagyu that is grilled on a bed of vegetables for sukiyaki served with a soft-poached jadori egg for dipping. The teppan tables also give guests a chance to order a la carte items.

The sushi menu features rolls such as the soft shell crab roll, a deep fried soft shell crab rolled with asparagus, tobiko, avocado, scallion and drizzled with a spicy sauce; the Chef’s Combination, which became an internet sensation known as "Morimoto Stained Glass Rolls" and combines tamago, tuna, cucumber, rice and nori.

The apps section of the menu offers a tuna pizza with olives and anchovy aioli with spicy jalapeño. The Mizuhiki Caesar salad features seared salmon.

n the entrees side of the menu, guests find braised black cod with ginger-soy reduction and Duck Duck Goose with a duck meatball soup with duck confit fried rice and gooseberry compoteh.compoteh.

For dessert, guests can find the Fiery Salty Caramel Chocolate Tart with a sphere of dark chocolate sorbet, marshmallow, salty caramel ganache and spiced rum that is set on fire table side.
