The New York Times recently published its list of the "20 Directors to Watch". Included in that list is filmmaker Terence Nance, Faculty, MFA in Film.

"What they [represent] is the persistence of personal vision and the resilience of cinema, which in its second century remains a young art form with a bright future," write Manohla Dargis and A. O. Scott, film critics for the Times. Nance fits into this categorization, having caught the public's eye with his recent film An Oversimplification of Her Beauty, blend of animation, memoir and essay film centered around his own romantic misunderstanding with a woman.
