Today Vayant announced a partnership with mIQ Interactive bringing unrivaled ease in flight booking, Automated Speech Recognition, dozens of languages, and Outbound interactive Notification in a multimodal environment. mIQ’s leading interactive platform and best of breed technology, coupled with Vayant’s flight search platform will create an interactive user interface where travelers can simply ‘speak’ their preferences in order to book a flight – whether via the web, on their mobile device or on the phone.

mIQ integrates a supplier’s system into an interactive, speech enabled environment where Vayant will deliver a rich, highly customized set of flight search results tailored to each customer by Vayant’s unique personalization algorithms. The environment will be offered as an option to Vayant’s clients and if chosen by the client, will become part of a standard Vayant implementation.

Vayant’s Atanas Christov explains, “What makes this unique is that the flight search process becomes more interactive and fun, like having a conversation with your personal travel agent. You’ll book knowing that your travel needs have been heard – and used in delivering your flight choices.”

For Vayant’s airline, metasearch, and online travel agent customers, the integration of mIQ will allow them to attract consumers who prefer the personalization of booking with a “human” touch, rather than just typing and reading a website.

Capabilities of the new partnership include:

Allow telephone callers to access the same automated search capabilities, which are available via web.

Client able to “opt-in” to receive notification of travel information such as flight changes, cancellations, or availability of upgrades, as well as surveys or targeted offers.

Web-based, automated agent to assist in web navigation and question resolution along with live agents behind the scenes who direct and enhance the automated service environment.

For Vayant, the partnership means potential clients and partners will be able to incorporate mIQs advanced speech recognition technology into their user interfaces. Airlines, travel meta-search sites, and online travel agents will be able to offer a more personalized and human experience often missing in online travel search.

Tom Porter, Chief Operating Officer of Aumtech, one of mIQs founding partners said, “We are pleased to provide automated speech recognition search capabilities in a multi-modal environment along with the option for clients to receive notifications, powering Vayant’s suite of newly announced as well as current products. This works in harmony with Vayant’s existing traveler-centric search, as well as providing standalone capabilities for added value in customer satisfaction as well as ROI.”

Christov added, “We continue to innovate with the traveler in mind, with solutions designed for the air search market, while giving Vayant clients a competitive edge in conversion and satisfying multiple audience segments no matter how they want to book.”
