The fashion blog shows you how to a make a pom-pom jersey for that cold but fabulous winter weather.

This post was originally published on Siki’s blog All Things Intriguing.

If you follow me on Instagram you will see I posted an image of this DIY telling you that it is coming soon. I finally completed sewing on the pom-poms on the jerseys. I call them pom-poms because of a lack of a better word.

This was a really easy DIY to make. I like the idea of easy DIY projects to make at home, that don’t require you to go out of your way to purchase new items or have complicated instructions to follow. All that is needed for this pom-pom jersey tutorial is for you to use your own discretion when placing the pom-poms. It’s very simple but it can get tedious, be warned. It took me about two-and-a-half hours to complete everything. Sewing each pom-pom on takes some time and bear in mind that it needs to be neat.

What you will need:

A jersey or sweater

White / black thread with needle

Pom-poms

A pair of scissors

Step 1: To get a visual idea of your outcome when you are done, place pom-poms on the sleeve of the jersey.

Step 2: You can mark your placement of pom-poms with a soluble pen.

Step 3: Sew all pom-poms on, even on the back side of the sleeve.

Repeat all steps with the second arm and Voila! You will have a jersey with pom-poms and trust me it will look cool on you.

Because I have been tired with the image of my own face, I asked a really cool lady to model the DIY jersey for me, meet Anathi Ngqakayi. All credit to her for being the best model.
