Last night we got what might be the last of the snow we see this season, as the high pressure ridge (which inspired THIS GUY to build a backyard ice rink in East Van) disappears. One of the byproducts of this weather (beyond that ice rink) has been a new genre of local Instagram photos, along with sub-genres. “Vancouver snow” is the overarching one, with the subs being “snowmen”, “snow selfie”, “OMG they plowed the bike lanes but not the roads look at this traffic mess” and my personal favourite, “dogs loving the snow”.
