WOONSOCKET - The Live Happy Live Healthy Live Green Expo will be held on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at River Island Park. The day will include food, vendors, artists, crafters, shopping, live entertainment, demonstrations and performances, plus free health screenings by Thundermist Health Center, American Heart Association and National Lipid Association. The Department of Veterans Affairs will be on hand to enroll veterans for medical coverage.
Activities throughout the day will be as follows:
10:10-10:55 a.m.: Yoga Workshop with Yogini Shanthi
11:00-11:30 a.m.: Lyrics in Motion Dance Performances
11:35 a.m. -12:15 p.m.: Laughter Yoga with Mary McDonald in the gazebo
12:20-12:50 p.m.: Zumba with Amanda Diaz
1:00-1:30 p.m.: Rondeau's Kickboxing
2:00-2:30 p.m.: Craft Skate and BMX Shop will give bike and skateboard demonstrations
2:45-3:00 p.m.: Raffle announcements/split the pot
A kids play area will include a bounce house and face-painting for the price of a canned good or $2 donation.
The River Methodist Church will be collecting non-perishable items for their soup kitchen.
The first 100 visitors will receive a reusable grocery bag filled with goodies, coupons and promotional items.
Donations for raffles, bottled water, soft drinks, juices, hot dogs, hot dog buns, condiments are needed.
The event is sponsored by Avon, Mary Boucher and Country Kitchen Inspirations and was made possible with donations from Whole Foods Market, Rainbow Print Group, Rondeau's Kickboxing, RI Bounce House, Arbonne and Country Kitchen Inspirations. Additional vendors will include Arbonne, 31 Gifts, Ava Anderson, Loie Chic, My Magical Emporium, Finishing Touches, Celadon Road, Essentially Coconut, The Faerie Nest, Green Side Up Gallery and many more.
