Franklin G. Burroughs – Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum

Winner of the 2013 South Carolina Arts Commission Elizabeth O’Neill Verner Award for Outstanding Arts Organization, the Franklin G. Burroughs – Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum is housed in a historic villa with ten galleries encompassing two floors, an art studio for workshops catering to both children and adults, a resource library, reception room, and a lovely tea porch with a breathtaking view of the ocean. Within its walls you will find a diverse assortment of ever-changing exhibitions, and a permanent collection that includes paintings, sculpture, pastels, prints, historical maps, lithographs, photographs, and collage. Works from southern, regional artists will inspire and enlighten visitors.



Brookgreen Gardens

For the past 85 years, Brookgreen has been one of America’s premier gardens. With accreditation from the American Alliance of Museums, and a large number of prestigious awards to its name, this designated National Historic Landmark is a unique and amazing destination for art and nature lovers of all ages. Rich in regional history, Brookgreen Gardens is home to the Archer and Anna Hyatt Huntington Sculpture Garden with nearly 1,500 works of art. Lush walkways and garden paths link sculptures and fountains in their distinct settings, surrounded by unparalleled botanical beauty. Brookgreen Gardens also features a children’s sculpture garden and zoo featuring native wildlife, and is located just south of Murrells Inlet, not far from Myrtle Beach.
