JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under general direction, this position is responsible for providing basic to intermediate analysis and documentation of business and management problems for systems and programming requirements. Assists in providing solutions to problems utilizing more efficient operational procedure, work flow, and information technology solution.
Salary Range
From $54,960.00 To $82,440.00 Annually
Specific Job Related Duties
Review UTMB legacy software and/or workflows and develop EMR to meet customer’s needs.
The Application Systems Analyst should demonstrate basic technical knowledge and analytical skills and have excellent communication skills.
General experience in documenting business processes, work planning, problem resolution, requirements and technical analysis, software design, software testing and end-user training and a general understanding of project lifecycle management.
Analyst may be called upon to present software design to technical and non-technical customers.
Analyst must be able to self-motivate; prioritize work and work within a team.
Performs related duties as required.

Preferred Education
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business or Clinical related field preferred, however years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Preferred Skill/Competency
Experience in implementing and/or supporting healthcare applications.
Preferred Work Experience
Certification, Proficiency or Support experience with any Epic application
Experience with documenting workflows utilizing Microsoft Visio.
Experience working with hardware (desktop PCs, thin clients, printers).
Experience in implementing and/or supporting healthcare applications.
