B/E Aerospace's WestPoint facility focuses on manufacturing the highest quality main cabin economy seating as well as premium aircraft seating for various customers around the globe. As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a *Manager, Human Resources* in our *Seating Products Group* business located in *Winston-Salem, North Carolina.*
* _JOB SUMMARY_*
Reporting to the WestPoint Vice President and General Manager, the Manager, Human Resources will serve as a strategic Human Resource business partner to management of the facility and has a hands-on role in the day-to-day human resource activities of the site. In this role the incumbent develops and directs the implementation of plans and/or programs to ensure the most effective utilization of human resources to support the business unit's goals and objectives.
* _JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:_*
* Develops and implements value added human resource solutions in support of the business and its financial goals.
* Recruits, interviews, and coordinates the selection of individuals to fill open positions - line and staff levels.
* Works with managers to develop and retain key talent. Drives talent development and succession planning for the business unit.
* Participates in collective bargaining negotiations and administers contract provisions at the site.
* Works with managers, employees, and union representatives to ensure a productive work environment.
* Oversees and administers the annual Performance Review, Talent Review, and Merit Review processes.
* Ensures communication, implementation, and proper administration of compensation and benefits programs at the site.
* Works through labor relations and grievances with employees, managers, and union representatives.
* Manages and conducts employee training and orientation programs.
* Oversees and implements affirmative action, and other employee relations programs.
* Ensures consistent application of company policies and compliance with all Federal and State employment laws and regulations.
* Acts as an internal consultant for coaching managers and resolving employee issues.
* Performs other duties as requested or assigned.
* _MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:_*
* Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from an accredited college or university in Human Resources or related field.
* A minimum of five years related experience.
* Prior experience working as a human resource professional in a union environment.
* Demonstrated HR generalist / leadership experience.
* Working knowledge of US labor and employment law
* Experience in handling a variety of employee relations situations
* Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
* Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and credibility with, interact with, and influence stakeholders.
* Ability to drive change management initiatives.
* Well organized with solid judgment, able to multitask and adjust to changing priorities.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
* Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions, evaluate people, manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment and effectively interface with all from high level leaders to individual contributors.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent Microsoft Office application skills and prior experience working with HR information systems.
* _PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:_*
* Advanced degree in Business, HR management.
* Proven skills in the areas of initiative, individual leadership, collaboration, facilitation, and influence.
* Demonstrated knowledge of Federal and State employment related laws and regulations.
* Clear thinking and problem solving skills; understanding and application of analytics to drive projects/process improvements.
