We are seeking a Class A CDL Driver for our Midvale, OH location.
* Duties:*
* Safely operating tanker truck between company shops and customer/vendor facilities or work sites within the company’s geographic service area.
* Loading & delivering necessary equipment to and from job sites.
* Troubleshooting any issues with work/field equipment.
* Maintaining all equipment for safe operations and completion of all pertinent documentation. Responsible for the preventative maintenance of any type of vehicle used to deliver equipment to customers and/or warehouse locations.
* Maintains communication with customers, vendors, and site leaders.
* Follows all standard shipping practices and procedures with full compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and the Department of Transportation including all required documentation, additional transportation routing, and scheduling requirements. Verifies and documents identity and quantity of all equipment.
* Ability to safely operate a truck with a GVW over 10,000 lbs interstate regularly with a standard or automatic transmission.
* May operate heavy machinery if properly certified.
* LEVEL OF WORK:*
* The employee will receive general instructions on routine work and a detailed briefing on new assignments. The employee will work on tasks that are routine in nature to complex; the ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.
* Must be willing and able to communicate with personnel and customers
* Must be able to read and understand safety labels and postings
* Must be able to safely package materials (may include hazardous goods) for shipment
* Skill in performing under the stress of frequent interruptions and/or distractions.
* Ability to perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workload.
* Must have attention to detail and accuracy in completing all required paperwork
* Performs varied tasks as directed with ability to concentrate, multitask and prioritize
* Must possess strong self-management and reasoning skills
* The job focus is on the completion of individual tasks for which a basic understanding is needed how they fit into the work processes of the product line or the specific work assignment.
* REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:*
* Must be at least 21 years old
* One plus years relevant experience operating tanker truck (standard transmission)
* Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement
* Valid Med Card
* Clean MVR
* Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal history background check and road test
* Ability to work long hours and evenings and weekends
* PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:*
* High School Diploma or GED
* One plus years relevant oilfield experience.
* Knowledge of operations, hazmat transport and placarding
* Safeland, First Aid/CPR trained
