As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a *Director, Global Supply Chain* in our *Interior Systems* business. This position can be located in either Anaheim, CA or Lenexa, KS.
* _JOB SUMMARY_*
Reporting to the Vice President/General Manager, Interior Systems, the Director, Global Supply Chain will lead Materials Management/Logistics, Purchasing, Commodity Management, and Inventory Control. The role will also champion key supplier and supply chain initiatives.
* _JOB RESPONSIBILITIES_*
* Maintains a focus on overall global commodities with an understanding of the needs to meet local sourcing requirements. Develops strategic relationships with a targeted global supplier base with integration across business units.
* Manages supplier relationships (including scorecards, internal metrics and inventory control) with Supply Chain function.
* Integrates large scale cost savings, driving those through the business unit(s).
* Supports enterprise initiatives and develops global sourcing strategies for a range of commodities ensuring those are migrated into the existing supply chain with minimum interruption and maximum cost reduction.
* Ensures suppliers are held accountable for meeting continuous improvement initiatives both from a strategic and tactical perspective including lead time reduction, flexibility to schedules, quality improvement, inventory reduction (entire supply chain) and cost reduction on a year over year basis.
* Oversees decisions on industrialization. Determines location where product is built, or if building is outsourced and establishes outsourcing partners.
* Provides input from an interiors systems perspective into the development of Supply Chain initiatives, best practices and strategies, ensuring effective implementation and execution.
* Develops strategic relationships with a targeted global supplier base in Asia, Eastern Europe and North and South America with integration across business units.
* Oversees the Business Unit logistics function including developing and maintaining inventory controls
* Reviews and ensures that the appropriate financial metrics are monitored and that proper fiscal controls are in place to maximize cost savings throughout the function.
* Leads performance improvement programs throughout the supply chain using overall leadership experience and plays a key role in the implementation of Continuous Improvement techniques throughout the organization
* Performs other related duties as required.
* _MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:_*
* Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university or an equivalent
* Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, including the following:
o Supply Chain management
o Logistics
o Purchasing
* Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a manufacturing environment.
* Experience with MRP / ERP systems.
* P&L experience
* _PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:_*
* Experience in a highly regulated industry, especially aerospace.
* Masters Degree or MBA preferred.
* Experience working in large organizations with a geographically dispersed workforce.
* Well organized with solid judgment; able to multitask and adjust to changing priorities.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders including Senior Leadership.
* Demonstrated ability to build credibility with, interact with, and influence suppliers, customers, and key stakeholders; Ability to build strong relationships.
