On August 2, 2016, diverse business owners, corporations, and government agencies gathered at Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale, Ariz. for the Pacific Southwest Minority Supplier Development Council’s Business Conference and Opportunity Fair.

Almost 300 business owners and corporate representatives attended the Conference, with 70 organizations presenting their products and services at the Opportunity Fair.

The Council’s Match Making sessions give National Minority Supplier Development Council certified Minority Business Enterprises the opportunity to meet one-on-one with supplier diversity professionals from major corporations. Over 500 one-on-one meetings took place August 2, providing MBEs greater connections to corporate procurement opportunities than ever before.

“I want to acknowledge you and your team for a wonderful event! It was a great investment, with speakers and the lead off with prayer and history of the Native People exceptional and appreciated. I met many MBEs and corporate representatives. I have completed the certification process for WBEC-West and am considering certification with PSWMSDC as well,” Dr. Joel Martin, President, Triad West and Founder of Positively Powerful Woman Awards said in an email.

Since its inception, the Pacific Southwest Council Conference and Opportunity Fair has focused on maximizing the economic development of minority owned businesses in Arizona and San Diego County by providing an inclusive event to learn and connect.

Wells Fargo was Corporate Presenting Sponsor. The MBE Presenting Sponsor was Arizona Pest Squad.
