We all know how the new vehicle cycle works... A new, exciting new model is announced, then released. It enjoys envious sales numbers, but after a few generations, people are bored with it. It's time for something new, fresh, exciting. Such is the case with the last of the Cadillac DTS, which is leaving the production scene next year. Its successor is a new Cadillac model that everyone, including us here at Dave Smith Motors, is quite excited for.

Known as the Cadillac ATS, the new model is a smaller vehicle that will still offer the kind of luxury and performance that you could only expect from a Cadillac. The vehicle has been teased online and at autoshows, and it's quickly becoming the most talked about vehicle in the American automaker's lineup. Considering the fact that it hasn't even hit dealership lots yet, we'd say that the Cadillac ATS has a bright future ahead.

The latest of those rumors, however, is one that has everyone here at 210 N Division Street Kellogg, ID 83837 really excited. That is, of course, the latest word on what kind of engine that Cadillac ATS will feature under the hood. Specifically, it's now reported to pack a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine into its chassis, proving that when it comes to smaller models, Cadillac still refuses to disappoint.

Word has it that this ferocious powerplant will dish out between 270 and 280 horsepower, though Auto Blog notes that "there's no indication as to whether or not the engine will require premium fuel."1
