Maryland Addiction Recovery Center

Opiate Detoxification
All the individuals who decide to rid their lives from drug and alcohols are encouraged to enter the Maryland Addiction Recovery Center for opiate detoxification. In order to make sure that the recovery takes place under experienced guidance the center Medical Director supervises the patient. Before availing the service the client’s medical history is taken to identify the course of action and treatment that needs to be given to the particular patient to ensure speedy recover. Patients are then given the relevant medication and may be referred to medical specialist who are present off-site according to the patient’s needs.
Intensive Outpatient Program
This program focuses on the individual needs of the patients who are trying to recover from drug addiction, abuse of substance such as dependency on chemicals and other disorders. In addition to medication, the patients also see a therapist at least once a week and have group therapy sessions as well. In order to make things more convenient for the patients morning and evening sessions are offered for therapy. IOP Treatment also includes anger management classes and family counseling.
Adolescent Treatment:
This program is particularly focused on children under the age of 18 who wish to be treated for alcohol and drug addiction. The staff uses Behavioral Therapy and other means to encourage the children to adopt a healthy lifestyle. Families are encouraged to remain a part of the treatment process to help build a healthy relationship between the patient and his/her family.

Damascus House
Damascus House is another treatment center that is located in Baltimore, Maryland. This treatment center’s main focus is to provide treatment for substance abuse. This treatment program mainly focuses on men who wish to recover from alcohol and drug abuse in 6 months or 1 year. It caters to patients that suffer from mental disorders along with addiction problems. Individuals with AIDS/HIV are also taken in.
