             Have I mentioned this recently?  How seriously filthy I get when it rains?   Not sure why it never dawned on me before I actually rode in all weather.  I mean, the roadway is just so amazingly dirty, and I’m right down there in it.

             AnyHoo, since I’ve had to wear my raingear, in some form or another, for the past week plus, it reminds me all over again.  Especially when I get actual mud in my eyes!  Also, and only moderately related, is what Dan and I see from the (dis)comfort of our bike seats.  A few days ago it was a chicken.  In a park.  And as you saw yesterday, a local water bird, RIGHT on the bike path.

             Sure, it’s wet and grimy  but it’s also pretty freeing and fascinating.  Much different from being in a car.  Slightly restricting, as far as what we can bring back and forth, but for the most part, super entertaining, and surprisingly easier than I ever imagined.

             As much as I didn’t want summer to end, it has.  And with the approach of October, we’ll make an entire year that I’ve been car-less, and on two wheels.   Can that even be possible?  I guess so.

             Time is such an odd concept.  Like so many aspects of our physical existence.  An example is the message that I woke up with this afternoon, and how our daily draw, are entirely entwined.

Impressions in/Impressions out;

look with love-eyes.

             And then with this (below), it’s a fairly compelling thought.

“Gratitude  ~

Say thank you.

Experience the joy of acknowledging others.”

            Think of it this way, we look upon others with lovingkindness, and we are thankful for our blessings.  When this is our automatic response, with no judgement, we see our path more clearly, learn our lessons more quickly, and follow our Life Map with incredible ease.

             While I was typing away here, my “in box” number changed, so, being the distractable creature that I am, I clicked over to see what new e-mail I had.  Well, it was crap, but that caused me to do some deleting.  Which then brought me to this treasure in a newsletter (that arrived around noon) from Louise Hay:

“Gratitude brings more to be grateful about.  It increases your abundant life.  Lack of gratitude or complaining, brings little to rejoice about.  Complainers always find that they have little good in their life, or they don’t enjoy what they do have.

The Universe always gives us what we believe we deserve.

For quite a while now, I’ve been accepting every compliment and every present with: ‘I accept with joy and pleasure and gratitude.’  I’ve learned that the Universe loves this expression, and I constantly get the most wonderful presents!”

             An affirmation from the Queen of The Exceptional Life?  Hell yeah.  So nice, let’s say it twice.

Affirmation:

I accept with joy and pleasure and gratitude.
