The latest is the killing of an Ughelli businessman and Managing Director of Ono Mike Electrical, Michael Onojiyovbi . He was shot dead by unknown gunmen in front of his wife and children at Afiesere junction by 11 pm on Monday.
Urhobotoday gathered that he going home after closing for the day when the incident occurred.
No one could explain the reason for the killing of Onojiyovbi whose wife is the owner of Chicken Mat Restaurant located close to Afiesere junction where the husband was killed. It is a case of assassination as the killers were reported to have not taking away anything from the vehicle.

Tony appealed to traditional rulers, chairmen of communities, the police and other law enforcement agets to beef up security in the community to prevent the present situation from escalating. He said he is disappointed at the impunity at which these boys operate without the police and other law enforcements doing anything about it.
According to him, “Cult boys do come out every day terrorizing, killing and disposing shop owners, pedestrians and those in vehicles cash and other valuables. These boys operate in Otoghrekwu, Akpodiete, Okorodafe and other volatile areas within Ughelli vicinity without any resistance.”
Urhobotoday equally gathered that one is at a big risk withdrawing money from any of the Ughelli banks. Incident of those traced by hoodlums from banks and robbed at gun point t are common scenario in Uughelli.

Godwin Asakpa, a resident of Ughelli however traced the increase in crime in Ughelli to lack of jobs, political activities and greed of those who want quick money. He advised the state government, police and other relevant security agencies in the community to beef security in the community.
