He almost died in the streets, now he has a loving family.
Hailey found Jacob when he was 4-month-old. She couldn’t bear remembering how he looked like back then. He was a stray living on the streets of New York City. Her lovable pit bull was dumped in a parking lot and he was going to die. That was too painful to remember.
They found him in a severe condition. He was emaciated and suffering from mange. In an irresponsible attempt, someone poured the dog in gasoline so as to get rid of the mange. He had open wounds and that made Jacob have a blood poison.
Jacob was taken to Second Chance Rescue NYC and he restored his life after few weeks since visiting the vet. They didn’t expect him to survive, but the little blue pit bull proved to have a large free spirit who wanted to live. He fought hard and surprised everyone at the shelter.
Once his physical wounds were cured, he was sent to Forever Home Rehabilitation Center in Virginia Beach. He had a long journey and needed to be trained to be mentally good as well. Lydia Enright trained him in the rehab. He was so thankful for her assistance as he was happy for having a human contact after all this time.
He proved to be a good dog at training and with Lydia and her wife Toni’s guidance, he was ready to follow the training instructions.
Jacob was lucky, as one day Hailey and Conner visited the rehab searching for a dog. Once they saw Jacob, they fell in love with him. They decided to adopt the blue pit bull. Now, Jacob has been with Hailey and Conner for a month now. He is living his best life with his new family.
