Even though some numbers show that women make up half of new bike purchases, there is no doubt that many shops feel like a boy’s club. Two friends from Chicago are trying to change that with BFF Bikes, a women’s bike shop they are opening this March. Vanessa Buccella and Annie Byrne’s shop will cater to the needs of female riders with a welcoming environment, women’s friendly parts and clothing selection, and a full-service shop.
