These two powerful 12 volt Lithium-Ion batteries are an optional extra to the Gerbing XR12 heated gloves. These batteries have a microprocessor inside and you can select the heat setting with a simple press of the button, easily operated with a gloved hand. Each battery has three heat settings: Yellow is 33% output, Orange is 66% output and Red is 100% output. A convenient LED indicator shows you how much power you have left in your batteries.
Actual runtime varies on your chosen heat setting and the ambient temperature: the colder it is, the more your battery capacity will decrease. Battery life will vary from anywhere in between 1.5 hours (hottest setting on a very cold day) to 5 hours. For maximum battery life, always keep your batteries at least 25% charged when storing them. When not in use (during Summer), charge your batteries once a month.
