The Role:

Originating from a proven sales background the Business Development Manager will play a key role as part of the Commercial Team to identifying opportunities, grow the business, establish relationships with clients and enhance our clients’ position as market leader in developing innovative energy and carbon reduction solutions.

Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager your main responsibilities will include:

• Establish strong relationships and develop a client base that has specific requirements for our energy procurement, funding and contracting services

• Deliver multi million pound sales budgets, in accordance with required statutory guidelines

• Work with the Bid Manager to prepare bid documents and develop complex scheme management proposals, negotiate and close

• Manage accounts and ensure that we are providing the highest standards of customer service

• Prepare and deliver client seminars / presentations

• Provide weekly reports on area activity to the Commercial Manager

• Maintain and update an accurate database or prospective and existing clients

• Manage diary and meetings with the Commercial Support Team

• Provide marketing input and branding opportunities to the Marketing Department

• Visit and meet potential new clients and advise them through the complicated processes of ECO funding, Green Deal and the purchase and management of energy

• Work closely with the Operations Team in the implementation and handover of schemes

• Represent the company in a professional and trusted manner

• Maintaining industry knowledge and competitor intelligence

• Respond to administrative requests in a timely and efficient manner

Monday – Friday
