UNESCO Institute for Statistics plays an essential role in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, through building and providing robust data. Among 200 indicators of follow-up that Member States need to adopt for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, UNESCO Institute for Statistics will provide 10%.
The implementation of 2030 Agenda needs quality indicators which enable us to know the progress made by all peoples, including the most vulnerable and marginalized peoples.
To achieve this objective, the Director-General invites Member States to provide new methods and more support. In so doing, networks of partnerships will be strengthened and the articulation among statistics, the sharing of information and the efficiency control will be improved.
