Happy New Year! I thought I’d start the year off by sharing the best gluten-free vegan dessert recipes of 2014 from this blog {just in case you missed something important, ya know? }. And also, just to start the year on the right foot, I wanted to giveaway a present to one of the readers on here — a copy of Angela Liddon’s The Oh She Glows Cookbook: Vegan Recipes to Glow from the Inside Out. See giveaway details at the end of this blog, but first here are some of the most loved gluten-free vegan recipes from the blog from last year — browse through, feel free to share, and see if there’s something in there that inspires you to run to the kitchen and get bakin’

So here goes:

Best Gluten-Free Vegan Dessert Recipes of 2014 from Gluten-Free Vegan Love

First and foremost, there were these gluten-free vegan raspberry almond squares. One of our absolute favorites around here, most especially due to how quick, easy, and delicious these turn out each time! {A big thanks to Allergy-Free Wednesdays for spreading the word about this one!}

Speaking of easy stuff, these raw coconut snowballs were the next big hit according to you all {also super quick and easy, and most importantly fun and wholesome!}

This gluten-free vegan Tiramisu recipe {Paleo & Raw} caused my site to crash temporarily due to the massive traffic spike it created! In the blogger world, that’s a good thing

And there’s no denying this gluten-free, vegan, and paleo pumpkin cheesecake was a crazy hit at Thanksgiving!

This gluten-free vegan chocolate Texas sheet cake brought all the crazy chocolate lovers on Facebook together — and it’s no wonder: this cake IS the ultimate chocolate indulgence in my books! {Thanks to Finding Vegan for making this one a hit!}

Speaking of chocolate, these vegan gluten-free brownies with marshmallow fluff were another popular facebook hit {especially via the Gluten-Free Wednesdays crowd!}

Ok, while we’re still on the subject of chocolate, this gluten-free, vegan and paleo chocolate pumpkin tart surprisingly took off and became my most popular recipe on Pinterest to date:

This refined sugar-free and vegan lemon curd was unexpectedly well-liked amongst the egg-free foodies:

And this gluten-free vegan coconut mango tapioca pudding recipe {which also happens to be paleo and refined sugar-free} has been another happening treat in a jar around here {especially amongst the AIP community}:

Another popular breakfast-y item were these Starbucks copycat gluten-free, vegan, and paleo pumpkin scones:

At Christmas time, these gluten-free vegan chocolate rum balls were my most coveted recipe — who knew that almost a year later these little balls of joy would be so well liked all of a sudden!

Speaking of more chocolate, this easy raw flourless chocolate cake {a special birthday treat for my raw-foodie mom} certainly earned its “thumbs up” as well:

This reader requested gluten-free vegan Lebkuchen cookies recipe grew wings nearly overnight and became another big holiday season favorite:

And speaking of holiday season favorites, these grumpy little gluten-free vegan gingerbread men cookies won hearts all over the place {most especially thanks to these nifty cookie cutters}:

Last but not least, surprisingly these simple ooey-gooey extra marshmallow-y gluten-free vegan rice krispie treats were the most popular recipe on the site for a good while {I guess you can’t beat a classic }:

There are so many more to share, but as I can see I’ve already been going on and on here a little — you can see the rest of the recipes here: Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, Egg-Free, and mostly Refined Sugar-Free Recipes.

Thanks for the great year! Hope you found something that inspires you amongst these recipes, and I look forward to sharing more in the new year — I’ve already got so many amazing treats lined up that I can’t wait to share with you all!

~~~ THE GIVEAWAY ~~~
Ok, and now to the giveaway!
I’d like to give away a brand new copy of Angela Liddon’s New York Times Best Seller The Oh She Glows Cookbook: Vegan Recipes to Glow from the Inside Out – an inspiring collection of day-to-day plant based recipes that both vegans and non-vegans alike will enjoy! {Note: my book has the cover with the parfait, as shown here}. Here’s an extract from the book’s description on Amazon:
The Oh She Glows Cookbook is packed with more than 100 delicious recipes such as go-to breakfasts, protein-packed snacks, hearty entrées, and decadent desserts. From entrées like the Crowd-Pleasing Tex Mex Casserole and Empowered Noodle Bowl to sweet treats like the Chilled Chocolate Espresso Torte with Hazelnut Crust and Angela’s famous Glo Bakery Glo Bars, there is something for everyone. The Oh She Glows Cookbook is also allergy-friendly, with many gluten-free and soy-free options.
Whether you are a vegan or you simply want to incorporate a few vegan meals into your week, Angela’s recipes are a must-have for anyone who longs to eat well, feel great, and simply glow!
Since I don’t like random draws, I will be selecting the winner of the book based on your answer to the following question in the comments below:
What’s your absolute favorite childhood dessert or baked good?
So go ahead and leave a comment with your all-time favorite childhood treats. The book will go to the recipe suggestion that I have not made yet and that inspires me to get baking the most. Plus on the upside, as you have probably seen from the last giveaway, I’m tempted to get baking quite easily, so chances are I’ll end up making many of the suggestions on here on top of the winning suggestion, which means more yummy recipes for all — so the more suggestions, the better!
I’d  also really appreciate it if you spread the word and share the gluten-free vegan desserts love by sharing this giveaway and recipe collection with others! Your sharing, commenting, and support helps keep this blog going — and all these things are much appreciated!
GIVEAWAY RULES: Giveaway will close on Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at 11:59PM EST. All recipe suggestions must be entered via the comments section below prior to this closing date. Feel free to enter more than one suggestion and come back if you’ve got more ideas. An email will be sent out with an update on who gets the book and the suggestion I picked to feature, so be sure to enter your email address in the email field when entering your comment and also subscribe to the emails here at Gluten-Free Vegan Love to stay in the loop and find out if you’re it! {you can do that at the bottom of this blog}. Winner must respond within 48 hours to the email I will send them once the giveaway closes {an email will be sent out on January 8th} and provide a valid mailing address to claim their prize, otherwise the prize will go to the next lined up best suggestion.
Good luck and look forward to your suggestions!
Happy New Year!
Audrey
