Lionel Messi was substituted after scoring in Barcelona’s 2-0 win at Almeria on Saturday following a right leg injury. The club said on its official Twitter account that ‘Messi has a muscle injury in his right thigh’ and he would undergo more tests on Sunday. Barcelona play Celtic away from home on Tuesday in the Champions League. Messi gave Barcelona a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 21st minute. Messi is said to be out for the next 2-3 weeks which Barca should be able to cope with, but they were clearly a different team without him this weekend. (What team wouldn’t be without the best player in the world) Goal was brilliant though.
