Hi Terry, I don't quite understand the issue.
The gallery is a dublicate of the main forum with the same topic sections so nothing is difefrent apart from all the images are in one place making it easier to find, thats how I see it. As it was before all the images were mixed with normal posts so did get lost.
Or am I missing something?

Yes Keith I think you are missing something very important! Posting a pic of a plant in flower and hoping that other members find it interesting and wish to comment on it has now been relegated to a second class post. It does not appear in either 'Active Topics' or 'New Posts' so members will have to go on a hunt.

So what do you do? OK you go to 'Recent Gallery comments' where you will find a jumble of mixed posts relating to various topics with the original posts somewhere in the mix. You can either hunt around for the original posts or you can click into the topic without really knowing what it is about.

Instead of the 'Recent Gallery' you may decide to actually open the gallery itself. When you do you will see a list of galleries with the last pic posted in each and again no way of knowing what is actually current or active apart from the last post shown on that page. I will concede that from here if I wanted to look at pics of catts. for example I could do so easily but I could have done that from the Cattleya section in the old forum.

I could of course open 'recent images' from within the gallery but once again that does not come across as user friendly.

What I think will happen if this new system is enforced is that few people will visit the gallery itself and it will become full of pics with no comments, leading to forum members having little feedback on their plants (and we all like a pat on the back from time to time).
