Happy Spring! Flowers are blooming and we have changed over to our Spring wardrobes. Ironically, as I write these words, snow is in the forecast just in time for Saturday’s UThon dance...go figure!
Today’s E-news will update you on some events that are happening at UHS throughout the month of April. Just a reminder that 3rd marking period grades will be available for parent viewing on April 18th.

ACT Test- Saturday, April 9, 2016
UHS will be offering the ACT this Saturday, April 9, 2016 to all students who have registered through www.act.org. Students should arrive between 7:30 and 7:45 AM and report to the cafeteria lobby. Please remember all test takers, including those currently attending UHS, will be required to provide acceptable photo identification. Test takers are responsible for understanding and following the ACT’s identification requirements and policies. Test takers may be denied entrance to the test site if he/she is unable to present acceptable ID or if the validity of the ID is in question. Our French Exchange Friends are with us at UHS: April 1-13
Thirty-three French students and their three teacher chaperones will be staying with UHS students from April 1-13 Our guests have taken part in this week’s Spirit Week festivities and have been introduced to all things Unionville. If you are a host family, thank you so much for your generosity!
Class Ring Order Day: Wednesday, April 13th (During All THREE Lunches)
This week your child received a class ring flyer to take home to review with you. For a full selection, featuring over 150 class ring styles, please pick up the complete order packet in the Main Office. Student Services Company will have representatives at school on April 13th during all three lunches to assist your child with his/her order. These rings will be delivered in the Fall giving your child the optimal amount of time to wear his/her ring while they are still in high school.
Early Dismissals for Students
A student who needs an early dismissal on a particular day (for a doctor’s appointment, etc.) must bring a note to the Main Office at the start of the day for which the early dismissal is needed. *Please remember that we will not phone into a classroom and disturb instruction for an early dismissal. Students may check emails on a cell phone during passing times but may not use a cell phone during the school day to make phone calls. If he/she needs to make an emergency call, any student may come to the Main Office to access a phone.
Parking During School Hours
This is just a friendly reminder to please be mindful to park in the marked “Visitor” spots during the school day if you are attending a meeting or dropping something off/picking up at UHS. Please do not park in the handicapped spaces, the fire lanes, or the numbered spots. Thank you for your cooperation!
