Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr opens for development

Saurav Modak writes that shortly after Ubuntu 13.10 was released, Canonical's developers began work on the next long term release of Ubuntu which is codenamed Trusty Tahr. Saurav advises that new packages are getting pulled from Debian repositories (Ubuntu's upstream) and links to a web page from where the daily builds of Ubuntu 14.04 can be downloaded.

What The Press Are Saying About Ubuntu 13.10

Joey-Elijah Sneddon of OMG! Ubuntu! writes that the press reaction towards the latest release of Ubuntu can be described as muted as was 13.10 not the most exciting release of the year but the it coincided with the release of Windows 8.1. Joey-Elijah quotes from several websites and publications that did give some space to the release and asks for further comments from his readers.

Silviu Stahie takes an objective look at Ubuntu 13.10, in particular, Unity 7, privacy and Ubuntu One.
