Dr. Robert T. Swindell, professor of chemistry at UALR from 1992 to 2007, passed away at age 76 on Friday, after battling cancer.
He served as chair of the department of chemistry, which received the University Department of Excellence Award during his tenure.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, at Roller Chenal Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 17, at the Christian Life Center on West Markham. Interment will take place at noon Friday, April 18, at Highland Cemetery in Greenfield, Tennessee.
