Early September, Kumho invited their ECSTA Performance Centre dealers and a handful of members of the press to view and experience its new tyres at the Rockingham Speedway, Northamptonshire.
John Thrupp, Marketing Director, introduced Kumho and the new tyres coming onto the market to the visitors. During a humorous introduction to the day’s events he told visitors that Kumho was established in 1960 and by 1991 was listed in the top 10 tyre manufacturers in the world.
During 1999, Kumho was one of the first companies to introduce RunFlat tyres into the UK market. As well as supporting a whole host of motorsport events, Kumho became the exclusive sponsors of Manchester United in 2007 until 2012. Another achievement is that in 2014 they once again earned the prestigious ‘Red Dot’Award for the third consecutive year running.
