At Tyreland we have a huge range of tyres to suit most vehicles and stock cheap budget tyres right through to branded tyres for performance cars. Our great range of part worn tyres gives our customers even more options and they are safe in the knowledge that every used  tyre is safety tested using our state of the art x-ray equipment.

However there are some tyres which we dont keep in stock and are unlikely to get second hand !!!!

The Michelin 59/80R63 is fitted to a Caterpillar 797 which is the world biggest dump truck.

A single tyre costs a massive €30,500 + Vat each (and thats when you’re buying a full set of six).

Each tyre weights 5.5 tonnes and is made from nearly one tonne of steel and enough rubber to make 600 regular car tyres!!

The Caterpillar 797 is used in mining and specialist construction applications across the world – its powered by a 117 litre 24 Cylinder turbo deisel engine that produces 3370 bhp – enough to carry its maximum load of 345 tonnes at a maximum speed of 42 mph.

We’re not sure if theres many 797s in the Dublin area so even if we did stock the tyres they’d probably be a slow seller!

Why not call into your nearest Tyreland depot where our expert staff can advise on the options available for your car or just fill out a contact form here and one of our staff will be in touch.
