MWS Distribution Ltd Brings in Wheel Stamping

Motor Wheel Service Distribution is popular globally for its production, service, repair and restoration of classic and vintage wire wheels. Since its foundation in 1927, MWS is famous for its expertise and abilities to manufacture and restore any type of wire wheels.

MWSD will now embed all its steel wheels with a Chevron mark. The veteran wheel maker’s latest initiative aims at simplifying the purchasing process for bus, coach, truck and trailer operators. They will now be able to choose quality products with ease and assurance. The new stamp will also aid traceability of their wheels.

Why Wheel Stamp?

The stamp imprint has been derived from MWS’s logo. All the new wheels bearing this imprint will be the ones with superior quality and sourced by MWS. Since the fleet operators will be able to identify better-quality wheels, it will be now easier to maximise loads and curtail failure rate. Both these aspects of fleet management are key messages promoted via the wheel safety campaign, carried out under the leadership of MD, John Ellis.

Chevron Quality Wheels

MWS’s distinctive mark will work closely in conjunction with the newly launched production information brochure on Chevron Quality Wheels. The booklet elucidates the benefits of each and every wheel model. It comprises informative charts for each wheel, indicating capabilities and key advantages across a broad range of sizes.

The Chevron Steel Wheels series is designed in three tiers: Gold, Silver and Bronze. The most premium steel wheel brand is Gold, developed for OEM manufacturers and fleet operators looking for exact replacement. The second tier, Silver, is an important mid-range offering for the aftermarket, high in quality and superior in performance. The Bronze range constitutes of budget wheels with high dependability.

It is noteworthy that Gold and Silver series undergo extensive fatigue tests before their introduction to the market. These tests are carried out using a particular LBF machine, which is devised to accurately replicate real world driving conditions. This process underlines the strength of the company’s capabilities for wheel design and ensuring safety. Also, all the wheels bear a TUV quality stamp.

Every Chevron Steel Wheel receives extensive support from MWSD’s technical assistance and fulfilment team. This implies that the right type of wheel can be chosen and distributed quickly for a specific application with greater efficiency.  Also, the wheel maker makes comprehensive catalogues available, both online and in printed form.

John Ellis, MD, MWSD commented that while their company has been operating successfully for over 85 years, it still remains confusing as ever to zero in on the right wheel. By joining hands with all major wheel makers and adding the Chevron mark, MWS has initiated the process of making the decision process simpler.

He concluded that in the extremely competitive commercial vehicle sector, fitting the best wheels has become inevitable for greater profits and safety of tyres and vehicles.
