Kat points out the best strategy can often be just being quiet. She says this in reference to Monica. But, this is Kat, who I like but she’s a bit impulsive. So, it might come back to bite her.
In other developments, something big happens, which I won’t spoil here. It’s totally expected but it’s interesting. It provides a good twist in the game.
Pre-credits
The Returnees return from booting Laura M. Laura B. is just happy it wasn’t her. Aras tells us Laura M. looked him dead in the eye with her anger. He says it now looks like he’s the ring-leader. Well, because he is (or appears to be on on TV).
Pre-Challenge
Tyson and Gervase talk about Aras and voting for Aras before they get to the merge. They decide to vote for him the next time they lose.
Redemption Island Duel
Laura M. assures Ciera, her daughter, that she’s not going to have a problem with Redemption Island and she shouldn’t even think about switching places.
The challenge is to race across a balance beam, collecting tiles along the way. The tiles are numbered 1 to 100. They have to be placed in order to win.
Brad struggles a little bit with the balance beam. Laura builds a lead. Brad passes John for second. Laura extends her lead. John passes Brad again while placing his third bag of tiles. Laura wins and wins by a lot. John has a bit of a lead and keeps it. Brad is going home.
Laura chooses to give the idol clue to Vytas. He immediately tosses the clue in the fire.
Tribe switch! Inevitable!
Okay, so Aras, Tyson, and Gervase switch to Red (why, no, I have zero intention of learning or using the actual tribe names, thanks for asking!). Vytas and Katie switch to Yellow. So, only Katie and Tina are reunited.
Red:
Aras, Tyson, Gervase, Caleb, Hayden, Ciera
Yellow:
Monica, Katie, Tina, Laura B., Kat, and Vytas
Post-Reward Challenge
Caleb tells us he’s worried about the new dynamic in the tribe. Gervase tells us they got all of the info from the Caleb and Hayden about what went on plus they told them the clue to the hidden idol.
Tyson’s goal while on the new tribe is to eat as much as possible. Hayden is annoyed the new guys are intent on eating the food won in the previous challenge.
Meanwhile, Tina is thrilled to pieces to play with Katie. On the other hand, Vytas feels really vulnerable. There’s the four old people, Katie, and him.
Monica is driving Kat crazy by constant strategizing. Kat says she needs to shut it to play smart.
Tyson decides to make Aras look like the boss. He does a lot of apologizing for him.
Meanwhile, the Red Sox are up, 3-0, on the Cardinals.
Immunity Challenge! Immunity! Back up for grabs!
A pair from each tribe has to race into the water, dive down, release a cage, and pull the cage back. Once three cages have been retrieved, it’s puzzle time! Yellow might have an advantage with the puzzle but Laura M. was one of their good puzzle people. Interesting.
Playing for a picnic lunch along with immunity.
Tina and Laura M. and Gervase and Aras start out. Gervase is swimming much better than the first challenge. The guys have a lead but it’s not huge. On the other hand, the women didn’t bring back the cage, so it’s a wasted trip. They head back out. Tyson and Caleb head to get the second one. Monica and Vytas and Hayden and Cierra all get into the water. Monica and Vytas did make up some time.
Aras and Tyson have a huge lead as they start on the puzzle. Kat and Katie are bringing back their last cage.
Tina and Monica are working their puzzle. Tyson and Aras seem to be having trouble. It’s pretty close. Is Tyson throwing the challenge? A couple of false endings for Yellow but Tyson and Aras pull it out and they win.
Meanwhile, the Sox put up two more on the Cardinals.
Post-Challenge
Kat wants to take out Vytas. But, really, really wants to take out Monica. She talks to Tina about it. Tina tells Monica about it. Monica asks Kat if she said anything about her. Kat denies it. They hug and make up, maybe? Maybe not as Monica is telling us she wants Kat out.
Tina wants to stay with the plan.
Tribal Council
Kat says she and Monica aren’t getting along. Monica wants trust from Kat. Kat says she loves the girls.
Vytas says you have to stick with you alliance and who you trust.
Kat says she always has Monica’s back. Monica says she’s heard Kat has thrown out Monica’s name.
Kat says she loves all of them.
Voting!
Vytas, Kat, Kat, Kat, Kat, and Kat is headed to Redemption Island.
Kat should’ve heeded own advice and just shut it.
Bubbling Under
Tyson and Gervase continue to be a strong (and entertaining) pair. They shouldn’t have a problem convincing the rest of their new tribe to vote for Aras. Not sure what will happen with the women and Vytas. He’s still the logical next to go though, isn’t he?
