As Twitchy reported earlier, Alix Bryan, “1/3 of a kick-ass web and social media team @CBS6” in Richmond, Va., announced on Twitter that she had reported the wildly successful GoFundMe campaign for Memories Pizza for fraud — “just in case.” In case what? In case her unfounded suspicions turned out to be true, and the fundraiser was a fake.

Alright @alixbryan, it’s time to choose which out you wanna try. Will it be:

1. I was hacked!

or

2. It was just a joke!

.@alixbryan You made an assertion of fraud “just in case?”

How does that follow?

My latest response to @CBS6 over @alixbryan ’s false claim. Waiting for statement: pic.twitter.com/icA8Pb935P

Another email to @CBS6 about their staffer @alixbryan accusing me, @BenHowe @LawrenceBJones3 of fraud pic.twitter.com/frDAhIqxjH

In an “apology” tweeted Friday night, Bryan claims that she “searched for the name of the person associated with the GoFundMe account and reached out via social media” but received no response. This seems strange, considering that the account was set up by “Dana” contributor Lawrence B. Jones, and Dana and the show’s writers and producers made no secret of their effort to help the pizzeria.

@alixbryan the gofundme has a video of @DLoesch and the @theblaze watermark. But continue to play dumb. Oh wait. You weren’t playing.

I think had you WATCHED the accompanying video on the page you reported or glanced at social media you would have have known. @alixbryan

.@alixbryan is no different from any of the other members of the media. She just got caught in her activism.

Reporter’s names have been removed from @CBS6’s Twitter profile. (h/t @KatMcKinley) pic.twitter.com/0YxcUIoyzz

Looks like @alixbryan changed her bio, too. @CBS6 #MemoriesPizza pic.twitter.com/9mXENoRUIz

After baselessly accusing us of fraud, @alixbryan and @CBS6 change their Twitter bios. @BenHowe @LawrenceBJones3 #MemoriesPizza

— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) April 4, 2015

You can delete Tweets and change bios all you want, @CBS6 and @alixbryan . We have tons of screenshots. We would like a formal apology.

— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) April 4, 2015

You still owe us an apology @alixbryan for falsely accusing us of fraud. You DIDN'T ask ANYONE until caught. @BenHowe @LawrenceBJones3 @cbs6

— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) April 4, 2015

Thank you for your support. pic.twitter.com/5Pmus9qa5S

@alixbryan If you cant "encapsulate your opions in 140 characters" then stay the hell off of Twitter. No one will miss you. #MemoriesPizza

@alixbryan How does it feel? Seriously? How does it feel when all your hatred comes back and kicks you in the butt? #Hack #Pathetic

— Ind. Conservative (@WI_Conservative) April 4, 2015

@alixbryan is that an apology? Have you ever reported a GoFundMe account for potential fraud before the one set up for #MemoriesPizza ?

— IamBetaPsi (@betapsi1266) April 4, 2015

@alixbryan your STORY here is BS. You didn't think it was a fake account on GoFundMe and your obsessive posts previously indicate so. #LIAR

— Elected Mob (@ElectedMob) April 4, 2015

@alixbryan is that a apology?

— Lawrence B.Jones III (@LawrenceBJones3) April 4, 2015

@alixbryan Sorry. Your essay just isn't believable. What you knowingly and willingly did was try to sabotage those people. Own it.

— dKO'd (@LdyPerry) April 4, 2015

Not only is @alixbryan’s response not an apology, I’m pretty sure it’s a flat out lie. pic.twitter.com/z1QWnllPeM

— Brandon Morse (@TheBrandonMorse) April 4, 2015

I'm not sure why it is so difficult for @alixbryan and @cbs6 to offer us a simple apology for the false accusation of fraud.

— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) April 4, 2015

.@alixbryan You still accused @LawrenceBJones3 and his colleagues of fraud. You need to apologize to them for your public assertion.

— Brandon Morse (@TheBrandonMorse) April 4, 2015

Yep, there are a few problematics: pic.twitter.com/zujoixGxy5

— Justin (@Potamoose) April 4, 2015

I'm not being unreasonable. There is simply no justification for false, public accusations of fraud. "Those affected" have names.
