The Barbie Dreamhouse

Fit for a princess or two, this gorgeous new dreamhouse from Mattel will keep your little ones busy for hours, and for years to come, which makes it a fabulous investment. My twins go gaga over this one. So does my 8 year old. It grows with your kids. That makes the cost ALL worthwhile, and definitely tops the best toy list for 2013!

(Due to small parts this is recommended for ages 3 & up. If your 2 year old doesn’t put things in her mouth and you are watching, this would work also. Just take care.)

The Disney Princess Ultimate Dreamhouse

Another cool variation dollhouse for the Disney Princess lover in your little princess!

Lincoln Logs Redwood Junction – (An Amazon Exclusive)

Did you have these growing up? I did. Oh what fun with had from toddler-hood on up. A terrific gift for boys and girls! We know how toddlers love to start building early on. Perhaps, you will have a future architect on your hands!

Teen Beach Movie DVD and soundtrack

This isn’t something to actually play with, but it is something that engages attention from 2 year olds onward. There is nothing in the movie itself to warrant worry to any parent of a youngster. And with all of the music, believe you me, it captures even tiny tot’s attention.

My twins know all of the songs, words and even some of the dances by heart. It’s a lifesaver in the car for long rides, and they enjoy playing the soundtrack outside (and inside) and dancing around. A big hit for both the young and the older child. (Admittedly, I like it to!)

Sesame Street Big Hugs Elmo

This is a large plush for a large Elmo fan. He is loveable, huggable and would make a great bedtime companion to scare all of the monsters away. All toddlers love Elmo, so it’s sure to put a smile on their faces come Christmas morning

The Very Hungry Caterpillar Rocker

Is this not one of the most adorable things ever? We have owned many Eric Carle items throughout the last few years, so the Very Hungry Caterpillar isn’t new to us. This might be a pricey gift x’s two for twins, unless you have a set that is really great at sharing and will share just the one, but it’s really too cute for words, and will be a big hit with smaller kids ages 18 months and up.

 Around the World Train Set

Who doesn’t love a wooden train set? I had one as a child and it was a big hit. This set is quality made and easy enough for tots to figure out and enjoy. Definitely a hit..no miss for both girls and for boys.

Playdough ice cream making kit

Not edible, but oh so fun to make. My toddlers got into playdough and now they want this toy bad. Just make sure your youngster isn’t looking to sample these seemingly tasty looking treats. A definite purchase for us this year.

Glow Pets

These are one plush animal invention I will actually buy this year. It helps youngsters who are afraid of the dark, or bigger kids who just like the idea in a whole. It’s a pillow pet that glows! A great night time companion for kids! (Maybe even an adult or two, ha!)

Tummy Stuffers

Another plush idea that I am not personally too keen on because it maybe teaches kids to hide their messes instead of cleaning them up, but it is on many Christmas lists this year, and it is perfectly safe for children of all ages.

Doc McStuffins Check-Up Center

Toddlers love to play make believe. This set is definitely a hit for the youngins, and will help them use their imaginations during play. Definitely a cute gift idea.

Doc McStuffins Magic Talking Doll

You have got to have the doll to go along with the check-up center. It’s a big hit with little girls this holiday season.

Lead Pad Ultra

These are great learning devices for toddlers and bigger kids. This is a gift that again will grow with your child, and makes learning fun..never boring. It’s an investment that will surely pay off. It is great for long road trips and bored little minds. Mom can breathe for a moment.

Nabi 2 Pad

I’m thinking about this gift for my twins. Of course, you have got to buy two, but I’m sick of them grabbing at our iPads. Plus, the Nabi 2 has children’s games installed on it, unlike iPads, and have rubber bumpers that make it much more toddler resilient. They will have this for years to come as well, which makes the price worthwhile.

They also have the smaller Nabi version at 1/2 the price. A great alternative for twins who can cost a bundle this time of year.

Read With Me Scout

Learning to read is far from perfected or even started by the age of 2 to 4 years old, however, toddlers can get a leg up and use scout to learn how to read. We really enjoy all of our LeapFrog products and love how educational yet fun they all are. I definitely would buy this for my twinkies.

No Pedal Balance Bike

Toddlers and small children can learn and perfect the art of balance. These bikes are AMAZING! I have a friend whose 4 children all mastered riding two wheelers by or at 4 years of age using these balance bikes. My daughter is 8 and mastered it not long ago. (Like at 8.) A balance bike totally would have helped her out. I regret not buying one. Terrific for little wannabe bike riders who need an edge. It’s an effective tool to say the least.

InnoTab 3S

A learning pad from VTECH that will engross your child and occupy their minds. This tablet even takes pictures for a reasonable price to.

ArtSee Studio

Got little budding artists in your household? Then this will surely capture their creative side.  A true winner for most all little boys and girls.

Dora and Boots roller skating toy

I bought this for my niece’s birthday. OMG it’s so cute, and perfect for any little Dora fan or fans you may have in your house. The twins saw it and want it badly. I saw it in action and think it is totally worth the price. Dora can skate with boots or separately. A really cute, new toy for a tot!

Fur Real Friends

I think these pets are adorable. My big kid wants the monkey and the twins want a pussy cat and a dog. I know we have had these types of toys while Mikayla was younger. The cat drove me kind of crazy for a time, but they are super cute and when on sale are pretty reasonable to buy. I got to admit that new monkey has even stolen my heart.

B. Zany Zoo Wooden Activity Cube

This is a great toy for infants through toddler-hood. My twins would really like to play with this. In the doctor’s office they have one not even this nice and they run right to it. Definitely great for small children to focus on and keep busy with. It is educational also.

LeapFrog® Musical Rainbow Tea Party

My twins love having make believe tea parties. If your child doesn’t have a twin you can play along. They can always create a friend, as I did as a youngster. This is really cute and adds music to it. Perfect for any little princess. Plus, the quality of the LeapFrog name can not be denied.

Our Generation dolls

I wanted to buy the twins the bitty twins from American Girl dolls, and then I realize how INSANELY cheaper that these dolls are with the exact same look. I mean the quality may not be as high as the AG dolls, but heck…they are toddlers. I’d rather spend far less on a look-a-like doll that they surely will fudge up over time then stress over them with such an expensive doll like AG. This would give me much more peace of mind.

Save American Girl dolls for when your tots are older. Just my new thoughts on the subject. They come with different color hair and eyes to. A nice, cheaper alternative.

Despicable Me 2 DVD (also available on blu-ray.)

Another great gift idea for all ages and any sex that will keep kids occupied both in home and in the car. Silence is precious and priceless.

 B. Meowsic Keyboard

Making sweet music is always a hit for toddlers. Even if they don’t sound like pros just yet…one day they just might, and it’s never too early to start! They can sing along with the microphone to! This keyboard is perfect for little boys and girls who enjoy music. They can rock out! My twins want these and guitars this year! Thankfully for our neighbors, no drums just yet .

 Cra-Z-Art Ultimate 4 in 1 Easel

A great gift from toddler-hood on up to the big kid. It will bring out the budding artist inside of most every child. I would have loved this as a kid. Another ‘grow with me’ kind of toy for your little Picasso.

  Fisher-Price I Can Play Basketball

This is another ‘you can’t lose’ toy. My son is a pro now and started out on something just like this. Girls love b-ball to, so it’s a no brainer. It will stand the test of time. A great perk when gift shopping.

Playskool Showcam 2-in-1 Digital Camera and Projector

Keep your kids’ hands off of your expensive camera, and let them have some fun of their very own. My twins would go gaga over this gift idea! They can pretend to be little mommies since I am such a camera mom!

Little Tikes Cozy Coupe 30th Anniversary Car

What toddler didn’t have this little car or would love to have one? None that I know. These cozy coupes have been around for ages. Now the 30th anniversary car is sure to burn your toddler’s energy while sporting around in style. A win/win for both parent and child.

Plasma car ($30 off here! WOW!)

We love these. You use your body to move the ride-on, so it’s perfect for exercise and adventure! We enjoy taking it down hills to. It holds my weight and a toddler if I wish to ride to. So a definite grow with me forever type of toy that can be used from ages 2 and up. That is when my girls started with it. It comes in many colors. At $39.99 now..it’s an absolute must-have steal!

Popbo Blocks by Melissa & Doug

Definitely a hit with little builders!

Zoomer

I’ve been looking everywhere for this! He’s hard to come by. He is supposedly a big hit this year! Grab it on Amazon FAST! It’s cheaper than a real puppy, and he looks like great fun! This robotic dog will bring on the smiles!

Despicable Me 2 Minion Dave Talking Action Figure

A big hit for fans of the Despicable Me movies!

The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition with North Pole Book!

My daughter REALLY wanted one of these, so we got one. I am guessing this would be given only before Christmas though. It will last for YEARS though. It is one of the VERY top toys this year, and is on millions of Christmas lists throughout the world. Even kids who can’t read yet will enjoy you reading the story to him or her. It’s a super cute concept!
