Ride-hailing apps are helping riders get to the doctor’s — and dunking into the lucrative healthcare advertise.
Uber as of late declared a new program to motivate patients to medical checkups, and this week, other ride-hailing application Lyft is banding together with an electronic health records organization to give 2,500 doctor’s facilities a platform to ask for rides for its patients.
Lyft is banding together with Allscripts to give 180,000 doctors that use the online records service access to the ride-sharing application for patients.
Lyft’s business arm had effectively settled partnerships in 2016 for non-emergency transportation choices, so the Allscripts integration expands on that. Like the new Uber Health service, even patients who don’t have a smartphone can now get a ride that the health offices organizes and sets up for their benefit.
Blue Cross Blue Shield, Sutter, and CareLinx — among other healthcare associations — as of now utilize Lyft to acquire patients for appointments. GoGoGrandparent joins more seasoned riders without smartphones to Uber and Lyft rides for restorative care. As indicated by Lyft, the failure rate has dropped 20 percent since banding together with Lyft — meaning more patients are making their planned appointments.
Lyft is riding directly into healthcare services.
