FOLLOW THE LEADER debuts Wednesday April 6th with Farnoosh Torabi reporting on what drives six wildly successful entrepreneurs to keep at it, no matter their age or their level of success. She’s “embedded”, if you will, in the heart of the worlds occupied by these business superstars.

What are they like? How are they different from the rest of us and what are their guiding principles that brought them fame, a fortune and freedom to do whatever the heck they want? None, no matter what their age, are ready to hang it up and play with the kids and grandkids.

Farnoosh Torabi, a seasoned business journalist, is perfectly positioned to be accepted in their worlds and to give us a special look at what might be transferable to mere mortals like us. She spends 48 hours with each of them, and the visit is edited down to a sharp thirty-minute episode.

There are six in total this season, beginning with a look at John Paul DeJoria – Co-founder & Chairman of the Board, John Paul Mitchell Systems and The Patrón Spirits Company. Beauty products and tequila, now that’s a combo that begs for an exploration. We get it as Torabi lands at his corporate digs in LA and his home office in Texas.

What’s he up to now? Farnoosh follows JP as he attempts to build his third billion dollar brand, Aubio Life Science. When JP faces a critical business decision and asks his daughter for advice, how will he react when she doesn’t sugarcoat her thoughts?

Tarobi’s other profiles of the season are with:

Lyor Cohen – Co-Founder 300 Entertainment

Gary Vaynerchuk – Co-founder and CEO of VaynerMedia, and partner in Vayner/RSE

Katia Beauchamp – CEO and Co-Founder Birchbox

Neil Blumenthal and Dave Gilboa – Co-CEOs and Co-Founders of Warby Parker

Tracy Anderson – Founder & Creator of the Tracy Anderson Method

The season premiere airs on CNBC Wednesday April 6th at 10 p.m. ET/PT
