Solid Selections

Berlin Station (Epix): Series Premiere. A CIA officer is sent to Berlin to find an anonymous whistleblower and is reunited with an old friend. As he gets closer, the whistleblower becomes murderous. Plays again later two times.

Eyewitness (USA Network): Series Premiere. This anthology crime drama opens with a pair of teenagers witnessing a triple murder, which they don’t report because one doesn’t want anyone to know why they were there. But, one’s foster mother is the local sheriff that begins investigating the crime. Plays again later. Have seen the first few episodes and really like this one. If you like small town murder mysteries like Broadchurch, then you will probably like this one as well. For more on the show check out my short spoiler-free preview of Eyewitness.

Other Options

Food Paradise (Travel Channel): New. It’s a “Taco-Lanche!” Plays again later.

Graves (Epix): New. A former president living outside Santa Fe, NM begins to spin out of control after seeing that many of his policies didn’t work as well as he’d hoped and decides to do something about it. Absolutely fantastic cast with Nick Nolte (Gracepoint, Luck), Sela Ward (CSI: NY, Sisters), Ernie Hudson (Grace and Frankie, Oz), Roger Bart (Episodes, Revenge), Skylar Astin (Ground Floor) and Chris Lowell (Enlisted, Veronica Mars). Really liked the first episode and would definitely continue to watch if Epix was available on Xfinity.

Insecure (HBO): New. Molly heads out to treat herself to a day at the salon and ends up lining up a date. Issa isn’t sure about Lawrence, even after he attempts to make up for forgetting her birthday. Runs 30 minutes. Plays again later two times.
