The 100th Episode of TVD
The Vampire Diaries season five has been nothing short of amazing so far. It has a familiar feeling of the first two seasons of the hit supernatural drama. It;s been filled with suspense, mystery and each episode keeps viewers on the edge of their seats guessing and craving more at the end of each episode. This year TVD reaches the coveted TV milestone of 100 episodes and the CW has released the official episode synopsis and a few episode stills for The Vampire Diaries 5×11 “500 Years of Solitude” below.

THE 100th EPSIODE [sic]: FLASHBACKS TO KATHERINE’S EARLY LIFE — As she faces a new crisis, Katherine (Nina Dobrev) remembers the traumatic night in 1490 when she gave birth to the daughter who was immediately taken from her. Stefan (Paul Wesley) lets Elena, Caroline (Candice Accola) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) know that Katherine’s health has taken a turn for the worse, while Damon (Ian Somerhalder) Matt (Zach Roerig) and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) discuss some of Katherine’s most notorious moments. Nadia (guest star Olga Fonda) comes up with a frightening plan to protect her mother, and Stefan and Elena are forced to help her. Meanwhile, Caroline is mortified when she realizes she forgot to fill Elena in on the latest shocking gossip, then indulges in a little scandalous behavior of her own. Finally, Elena and Katherine share an unexpected moment of connection.
The first episode still photograph below for The Vampire Diaries 5×11 “500 Years of Solitude,” appears to be from a scene in the Salvatore living room. It looks as if most of the gang is gathered around taking shots. Jeremy is siting in the chair with Bonnie sitting on his lap .Elena is sitting on the floor. And Caroline and Damon are on the couch with Stefan standing behind them. Damon seems to be trying to offer Stefan a drink, but Stefan’s expression indicates he’s not amused by whatever snarky comment came along with Damon’s drink offer. The second episode still below is of Nadia. She appears to be standing alone at what looks like a doorway. Judging by the books in the background, she might be standing outside the Salvatore living room debating to join the others. Guess we’ll find out for sure in next week’s episode.
