No Benefits Scheurer Hospital, a critical access rural hospital, is seeking a Licensed Respiratory Therapist to work casual in the Respiratory Therapy Department. Respiratory therapist would be responsible for performing the following: Perform oxygen and aerosol therapy both medicated and non-medicated. Arterial Blood Gases, Pulse Oximetry and Electrocardiograms; as well as operate and maintain corresponding equipment. Full knowledge to perform resuscitation techniques including airway maintenance, assist patient ventilation by manual or mechanical devices, and circulation maintenance. Basic personal computer skills a must. Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system helpful.
All applicants must have completed an accredited respiratory therapy education program and successfully completed the National Board for Respiratory Care examination. Licensure thru the State of Michigan required. Current certifications for Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) are required.
