Early in the book, the future story is told of a fictional American named “Julio” who, in contrast to the government-dependent “Julia” of the 2012 Obama campaign, is beginning his life in an America that has been restored. Julio’s life story is then told in the context of what can be possible for everyone if free markets and limited government prevail. The balance of the book is dedicated to showing Kirk’s vision of what needs to be done to make Julio’s fictional future a reality.
A special emphasis is placed on how to reach young people and how to restore a civil dialogue in American politics and culture.
This is a book of hope; not despair. It is a book of action; not condolences.
