Tune Collective - Defining Music & Culture

People across the globe made their voices heard during Saturday’s (Jan. 21) Women’s March protests, and members of the dance music community were no exception. As hundreds of thousands of protesters marched throughout the country for women’s rights, many who couldn’t make it showed their solidarity and appreciation through social media.

Here are some dance music artists’ reactions to the events.

The future is you. The future is us! We must stand together for equality and fight for our goddamn rights!

#trump must be furious to know that his tiny inauguration was upstaged by 4,000,000 women and the men who love and respect them. pic.twitter.com/4XJAXWLqDQ

The turnout for the #womensmarch across America and the entire world has been amazing. Literally MILLIONS of people marched, dwarfing #trump and his tiny inauguration. So thank you, as today was the first time since the election that I’ve felt honest hope. (Plus @obeygiant and I got to DJ before Jane Fonda and Barbra Streisand spoke..).

Hundreds of miles from here, while I walked in Chicago, my grandmother “marched” in a wheelchair. What an incredible feeling.

To be a part of the #womensmarch in my city and with the world is something I will always treasure.
