Hi, I was searching for a setup that would only give me a slight drop but still look good and provide a comfortable ride. After much thought and research I decided to get the Tein H-Tech Lowering Springs. After reading a lot of positive reviews on these springs working well with factory shocks I decided to keep the original shocks for now and I have to say, I am extremely happy with ride comfort, it is the same feel as stock suspension but larger bumps in the road a felt a little bit more that's all.

I also decided to get the popular Ingalls Rear Camber kit to adjust both toe and camber as I wanted it as close to factory as possible after the install. The H-tech springs and the Ingalls camber kit are not available here in Australia so I ordered from ebay and Heel and Toe in the US.

I purchased my 2004 Honda Accord Euro CL9 4 months ago and the last owner had put on some bling bling in way of 17inch Chromies on stock suspension. I was never a fan of chrome rims and these didn't grow on me so I had to change them. The size were 17x7.5 et40 fitted with 235 45 17 rubber.

I was a fan of BBS style rims and think they suit the TSX very well but they weren't quite in my price range. I stayed patient and kept my eye out on ebay and local classifieds. After a few months a set of Enkei Bortex RPM2 came up for sale in perfect condition at a great price. After some research I found that they were quite rare and also discontinued 4 years ago, and although they don't have a deep dish, they certainly looked classy and a huge improvement on the 17inch chromies. The size of the Enkei's are 18x7.5 et42.

I went with 225 40 18 Kumho SPT KU31's. Very impressed with these and they perform excellent for the price. I decided against 235 40 18 rubber as I didn't like the bulky look of the 235 width I had on the previous 7.5 wheels. The 225 fit perfectly.

As you can see from the photo above, after installing 18inch wheels on stock suspension the car looks like a SUV. Luckily I had the new H-Tech Springs in my garage ready for install the next day which I did.

These photos were taken hours after the install so I expect the springs to settle slightly after a few hundred miles. Overall I am very happy with this setup, Tein state the springs drop 1.1 front and .7 rear and I think it will be spot on after they settle.

If your after a slight drop, not have to worry about scrubbing or rubbing guards and want to keep factory comfort I recommend Tein H-Tech Springs. The drop is not huge but visually, its very noticeable from stock springs. In terms of handling, it is a slight improvement over stock with less body roll around corners but I am yet to really test it out.

If I decide to upgrade the shocks in the future, I will probably go with the Koni yellow height adjustable shocks which will allow me to lower slightly more and still keep the comfort. But for now I will roll with my new springs and rims.:D

Hope this review helps anyone thinking about the Tein H-Techs as there didn't seem to be much info about these on the net compared to the Tein S-Tech which drop the car significantly more.
