The Farm Inn is a privately owned Country Hotel and Conference Centre on the eastern outskirts of Pretoria, just 20 minutes from Central Pretoria, 45 minutes from OR Tambo International Airport and 50 minutes from Johannesburg. Nestled on a rocky outcrop under the African sun, the Farm Inn Country Hotel’s unmatched hospitality and the warmth of thatch, stone and natural materials make it a luxury ‘home away from home’ for guests. Amidst the serenity of park-like grounds on a private game sanctuary, guests can enjoy the magic of a wildlife sanctuary with 23 indigenous species, including lion, leopard and cheetah.

Since 1982 the Farm Inn has grown exponentially, but hasn’t lost its personal touch. The hotel boasts 83 bedrooms, 17 function venues, 2 chapels and 3 bomas - one of which provides an intimate venue amongst the roars of the lion enclosures. If you prefer something more formal, the hotel’s Tugela à la carte restaurant is open 7 days a week.

The Morafic bar is perfect for a soothing sundowner, pre-dinner cocktails, after dinner liqueurs or a nightcap.

The hotel swimming pool is available for use by hotel guests.

The hotel tea garden is open every day for light meals or something refreshing to drink, with a jungle gym situated close-by in the garden.

The Tugela à la carte restaurant complements a romantic atmosphere with famous African cuisine starring Madagascar fillet, Oxtail and the occasional venison dishes enjoyed with an award winning wine list. During the summer months you can dine under the stars overlooking a water feature, all the makings needed for a special occasion.

WILDLIFE & GAME DRIVES

Pedro, a fourth generation hotelier, is a member of the Wildlife Trust. He is passionate about wildlife and is currently involved in a cheetah breeding programme carried out on the Farm Inn’s grounds. At the moment, there are 23 species in the Private Game Sanctuary. Many of these species can be viewed by going on a game drive with one of the hotel’s experienced game rangers.

CONFERENCES & FUNCTIONS

The Farm Inn’s professional conference and function specialists are dedicated to making your conference a success. The hotel’s 17 conference rooms vary in size and can accommodate up to 300 delegates. The lion camp conference room, in particular, provides a private breakaway in the bush. The surrounding garden is ideal for informal breakaway sessions.

There is now wireless internet connectivity throughout the hotel. Secure dedicated internet lines are available in the bigger venues for conferencing. A generator will ensure that your event goes uninterrupted. Drumming and teambuilding can be done in the bomas and garden.

The Farm Inn is famous as a venue for special functions. Whether it's your end of year party, product launch, or cocktail party, our expert coordinators will work with you to ensure everything runs smoothly. We offer a variety of choices – from a braai in one of the bomas to a formal lunch or evening function in one of the hotel’s splendid venues.The Farm Inn offers the ideal venue for your child’s party. Various activities are available for children’s parties including game drives, a jumping castle, pony rides, a farm yard, jungle gym, large grounds and even lion and tiger cubs when available– the perfect solution for fuss-free parties.

ACCOMMODATION

The Farm Inn’s hallmark is true South African hospitality. The complex consists of thatched individual buildings built from natural rock and railway sleepers. These have been furnished in a colonial style with solid wooden furniture, creating a luxurious atmosphere for our guests. Thatch and natural ventilation combine to ensure that the rooms are warm in winter and cool in summer.
