Good morning everyone. In the last post, I have listed 3 famous places around the world heritage – Halong Bay that you can already spend time to visit and enjoy the attractions and speciality there. Today I will give you some more information about the others places you can not miss near Halong bay :
4. Quang Ninh Libarary and Museum
Situated at Hong Hai Ward, Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Library and Museum has a total area of 1,500 square meters. The complex built with an investment of VND900 billion to mark the 50th founding anniversary of the province,connecting to each other by a high bridge. Quang Ninh Library and Museum comprises three main areas including a special library focused on Vietnam’s past, a museum of natural sciences offering visitors a trip through the history of the province, and an auditorium for cultural performances.
Connected with famous attractions in Quang Ninh such as Bai Tho mountain, Long Tien Pagoda, Hong Gai church, Halong Marine Plaza, and especially Halong heritage, Quang Ninh Museum is considered as one of indispensible attractions in Halong tours. Currently, Quang Ninh Library and Museum opens from 9 am to 11h30 and 2 pm to 6 pm from Tuesday to Saturday.
This famous project has been chosen as the building of the year by the Vietnam Urban Development and Planning Asociation.
5. Bai Chay bridge
Bai Chay Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge on Highway 18 has connected Hon Gai and Bai Chay over Cua Luc straits and was applied with one of the most modern method of construction. It offers a beautiful view of the bay on both sides although the east side is mostly industrial. It is what connects old Halong to its counterpart.
Walk on the bridge is refreshing as it is high in fresh over the waters. It has a length of over one kilometre and a width of 25 meters having 4 lanes for traffic and and 2 pedestrian lanes. At the time of its inauguration in December 2006, it was the longest central-line cable-stayed bridge.
6. Bai Chay shopping mall
This mall is regarded as the most modern and biggest shopping mail in Quang Ninh province.
It is established on the base of a minuscule market at Vuon Dao Street and probably the largest and most modern shopping center in Halong City. It is located right at the bay on an elevated platform and it is always crowded with the customers mostly visitors and rich loclals.
Products here are diverse from regular to deluxe goods, and price range is a little bit higher than other markets in the city. However, this extra money is paid for better services, as well as ensured quality of each product
