Key Purpose:
As the key finance support for the Sales & Marketing Function, you will partner with, and provide insightful commercial analysis for Heads of Channel, Sales & Marketing Director and Senior Leadership team
You will be responsible for the preparation of departmental strategic plan, budget and guidance including key revenue & cost drivers and ensuring full business ownership. This could involve pre and post analysis of business initiatives – e.g. brand development, sales campaigns, new product investments, strategic partnership growth, new market penetration initiatives
Role Accountabilities:
To co-ordinate and deliver Guidance, Annual Target and multi-channel planning activity
To develop Insight & Analysis agenda by aligning effective delivery of strategic support to drive departmental objectives
To business partner multi-channel / customer-centric teams in support of day to day decision making as well as assisting the development of short to mid-term strategy
To review performance indicating key trends, recommend opportunities and highlight material risk across customer, market and product segments
To collate, summarise and segment customer, market, and competitor data to drive intelligent targeting
To rationalise and develop management information ensuring key commercial messages are delivered in a concise, accurate and timely manner
Technical Aspects:
To work closely with IT departments to identify and source data points, and create meaningful insight to aid decision making
To analyse large amounts of data looking for trends and patterns and presenting in a simplified and compelling manner to senior management
To use data to drive process improvement within the business
Person Specification:
Knowledge / Experience:
Relevant degree in Accountancy, Mathematics or Statistics
5 years + CCAB qualification operating in similar analytical / business partnering role
Experience of the retail / travel /e-Commerce essential
Self-motivated with experience of working in a small but focussed teams
Skills:
Advanced Excel
Working knowledge of MySQL / SQL Server / MS PowerPivot
Experience of using BI Tools
Strong Numeric skills and strong commercial acumen
Confident and concise communicator able to support people across all organisational levels
High attention to detail and proven ability to problem solve
