Troy University's International Arts Center was the host site for a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Choctawhatchee, Pea and Yellow Rivers Watershed Management Authority (CPYRWMA) on Tuesday, July 11. The CPYRWMA is a State of Alabama agency responsible for addressing water-related issues and opportunities in the 2,328,000 acres of these watersheds in southeast Alabama. Its strategic management elements are water quantity, water quality, flood control, and education. The agency office has been located on the Troy Campus for more than 25 years.
