As we know, this Aged Care Reform package was released in April 2012, with the first changes coming into effect from 1st July 2013. These changes may/will affect our Software as follows:

Payroll – Workforce Supplement. This comes into effect between 1st July 2013 and 31st December 2013. For those facilities choosing to take it up, there may be possible reporting requirements.

Resident Billing and Fees – Accommodation Payments – changes due to be implemented from 1st July 2014

Resident Accommodation Bonds – Prudential Reporting Requirement changes

Medicare Payment Reconciliation – Workforce Supplement, Dementia and Veterans Supplements which come into effect from the 1st August 2013. Accommodation Payment changes due to be implemented from 1st July 2014.

We have details on the Workforce Supplement for the Medicare Payment and this is currently being built into our software. Please let us know if you are thinking of taking up the Workforce Supplement so we can work with you through the implementation.

We are waiting for the same detail for the Dementia and Veterans Supplements from the Aged Care Programs Branch of Human Services.
