LINCROFT, NJ—(Marketwired – September 22, 2015) – Newman Springs Dental Care, a Lincroft dental office experienced in all phases of dentistry, will host a free day of dentistry in October.
Dentistry From The Heart is a nonprofit event that helps adults across the country access quality dental care. Newman Springs Dental Care has hosted Dentistry From The Heart for the past nine years.
On Oct. 1, Drs. Mitchel Friedman and Julia Cintron will work with volunteers to provide free examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, blood–pressure screenings, digital X–rays and oral cancer screenings to adults in the community without access to regular dental care. The event is being held at the Newman Springs Dental Care office, 539 Newman Springs Road.
“One day may seem insignificant; however, we know it makes a difference in the lives of the people who come to us for help,†said Dr. Mitchel Friedman, owner of Newman Springs Dental Care. “Since bringing Dentistry From The Heart to New Jersey in 2007, we have helped other offices start their own events as well as volunteered to provide dental care with them. There is a large need, and other generous dental teams have answered by serving their communities.â€
During last year’s event, dental volunteers in Lincroft gave away $39,341 in dental care to 88 patients. Since 2007, the practice and local dental volunteers have given more than $390,000 in dental services to more than 1,100 recipients in the greater Lincroft area.
This year, registration begins at 7 a.m. and the first 140 adults are guaranteed treatment. The staff of Newman Springs Dental Care will be joined by Drs. Allan Ruda, Beth DeAngelis, Randy Davis, Jared Gelband, Raymond Simmons and Jeffrey Zatzkin.

Dr. Friedman is a 1976 graduate of the Middletown Township Public School System, where his mother, Sheila Friedman Rubin, taught her entire career.
Dr. Friedman received his bachelor’s degree from Rutgers College and graduated in the top 15 percent of his class from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry in 1984. The Lincroft dentist completed the General Practice Residency Program at Monmouth Medical Center. Dr. Friedman is a highly recognized cosmetic dentist who is a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry. To obtain a Master designation, Dr. Friedman first became a Fellow with the Academy of General Dentistry, a process that requires 500 hours in continuing education. For his Master designation, Dr. Friedman took an additional 600 hours of continuing education courses, 400 hours of which required hands–on instruction.
Dr. Friedman holds memberships with the New Jersey Dental Association, American Dental Association, Monmouth–Ocean County Dental Society, Crown Council, New Jersey Dental Society of Anesthesia and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He also is an attending doctor and part–time clinical instructor at Monmouth Medical Center.
He received the 2010 Holmdel Journal Community Excellence Award as the “Healthcare Professional of the Year.†Dr. Friedman has been selected as New Jersey Monthly’s “Top Dentist†in the general dentist category by his peers for the last seven years.
Dr. Cintron is a graduate of the Rutgers University–University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. Following dental school, she continued her education through the General Practice Residency Program at Monmouth Medical Center.
